A long term residency at Konstfack University of Arts, Stockholm inconveniently coincided with the COVID-19 pandemic.
While unable to return to the UK and access my studio, I spent the following four months experimenting on a cross-media photography and sound art project.
Taking RAW data and converting it into audio files, I was able to 'sample' the photography.
Simultaneously, by using Modular Synthesis emulators I could feed these harvested audio samples into a complex system of synthesisers. Using feedback loops,
audio rate modulation, and typical modular effects generating an album, of sorts.
The collection of sounds very much documents my intense emotional state during the period of forced reclusiveness.
